We would like to wish you all happy holidays and a great 2012.

This has been a good year for Immersion Press. Our titles have sold well and are even stocked in some select bookstores! Next year promises to be just as good if not better. We are looking to release two more hardcover, limited-edition novellas, and will be present at various Cons.

There are still copies available of Lavie Tidhar’s excellent “Jesus and the Eightfold Path”, which has been getting great reviews (Gardner Dozois, Locus, Abyss & Apex, to name a few).

Have a great holiday and see you on the other side.

FantasyCon was a great experience, particularly since we sold a good number of books! It was great to see Lavie Tidhar launching two books, Osama (PS Publishing) and Jesus and the Eightfold Path, which is now available. Chris Butler, Gareth Owens, Charlie Harbour, Elizabeth and Deirdre Counihan  were all about, mixing and mingling. It was also great to meet Steve Upham of Screaming Dreams.

We are planning on launching more limited-edition hardcovers of short novels. Check back to see who we have coming up!

Immersion book of Steampunk

PRE-ORDER NOW!

So here we are, hot on the heels of our first limited-edition novella by Lavie Tidhar comes The Immersion Book of Steampunk, edited by Gareth D Jones and Carmelo Rafala.

My Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen, Welcome to the clockwork frontier. You are cordially invited on a trip to reclaim those lost and forgotten steam driven futures. Join the Immersion Book of Steampunk for an expedition through a new age of glorious industry. Encounter suffragette air-pirates, the art deco terror of imperial skies, unwrap the bullet-proof magic of a cynical prince, or discover the dark ensorcelled secrets of evolutionary public engineering. Newton and Nostradamus shape these worlds together, and that insistent ticking of a double-escapement could signal the portal to a new life in Her Majesty’s Off World Colonies or the countdown of an anarchist’s time-travelling bomb.

Come to FantasyCon in Brighton at the end of September to witness the release of the future that could have been.

Pre-order the title soon at this site!

Jesus Eightfold Path Cover

Limited-edition novella, Jesus and the Eightfold Path, by Lavie Tidhar. Final preparations are being made for the release at FantasyCon in Brighton this September. LOCUS magazine has a review printed up, written by Gardner Dozois.

Three wise men came from the East for the infant Jesus. Three brave companions accompany the Budda in the Chinese classic, “A Journey to the West”. Could they have been the same three? Josephus Flavius is sent by Caesar back to his home land to observe and report on the actions of a troubling young man now preaching sedition in the Galilee–a boy with the unsettling powers of kung-fu…

We regret that we won’t be able to attend Eastercon in Birmingham this year.  I was scheduled to go but I have to head off to the States. No choice.  However, I will be attending Fantasycon in Brighton in September.

On behalf of Immersion Press, I look forward to presenting all of our titles, including Fun With Rainbows by Gareth Owens,  which has been nominated for the BSFA Award for Charlie Harbour’s cover art. We will also be presenting The Immersion Book of Steampunk and Lavie Tidhar’s Jesus and the Eightfold Path. There’s a lot of work to be done in the meantime.

Have a great holiday and see you soon!

A brief update on our progress.

The Immersion Book of Steampunk is chugging ahead, a bit slower than expected but we’re happy with the progress. Some reworking of the Table of Contents and general revision to the MS will push the release date into July. We hope to get it out sooner.  We’re very happy to have Gareth Owens contribute what is a cracking good adventure tale to the anthology.  BSFA award nominee Charlie Harbour has outdone himself, and created a cover steampunk fans will love! Watch this space.

Our first limited-edition novella, Jesus and the Eightfold Path by Lavie Tidhar, is in layout and formatting. The cover is smashing and done by Melissa Gay, who also created the cover for Lavie’s  Hebrewpunk collection. We are setting our sites on May /June for this one.  Again, watch this space for changes / updates.

The Immersion Book of SF finds itself with another good review, this time in Britian’s longest and best science fiction magazine, Interzone.  Issue 232 of the magazine, Duncan Lunan offers good insight into the anthology, it’s stories and vision. A hearty thank you to Mr Lunan and the team at Interzone.

Pick up a copy of Interzone at your local bookshop. Or go to the TTA PRESS website here and purchase a subscription.
